Down on the farm!

The children had two lovely visits to the farm last week in glorious sunshine! They all had a tractor ride, a picnic, a go on the rope swing and played on the hay bales.
The children also last week put their feet in custard and ate bananas at the same time!! Strange combination! We are busy planning our end of term barbeque and disco for Saturday 17th July! It promises to be great event.
A great week was had by all.

Just wanted to say its been 5 weeks since our new website launch and we are 41% up on hits over the same time last year. My daddy is doing the National 3 Peaks challenge on June 11th 2010 to raise money for Steps. Daddy is a Trustee there and he tries to raise money for Steps whenever he can. I go there every Friday with mummy for conductivetherapy that really helps me get stronger. Daddy and a team of his colleagues from Caterpillar are doing the 450 mile drive between the 3 highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, will trek the 27 miles up them with a total ascent of 9,800 feet. The aim is to complete the challenge in 24 hours! As long as he gets back safely that will be enough.

Congratulations and well done!

Congratulations to Farook, Najma and Umar who climbed Ben Nevis to help raise money for Steps. They completed the climb on a beautiful day and then ate their sandwiches on the summit! Thank you so much for acieving this for us!
Congratulations and thank you also to Neil Davies who ran the London Marathon for us and has actually raised a staggering total of £3,500! Thanks so much Neil for all your hard efforts and thank you to everyone who has supported Neil in this.
The children are all enjoying a lovely morning at the theatre watching The Gruffalo!

Welcome back to Steps everyone, hope you all had a good rest and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine.
We are looking forward to the next few action packed weeks! If you haven't returned your forms for the activity week then please do so now as some days are getting really full.
Please note that the Steps barbeque has changed date to Saturday 17th July from 3.00-6.00p.m. If you haven't got your tickets yet then please see Trish in the front office.
