Children In Need
Thank you so much for all the messages and offers of support and money that have come into Steps over the weekend. We were absolutely blown away by the coverage that Steps got on Friday night and the responses we have had as a result. Well done to everyone.

Autumn Fayre
Steps are holding their annual Autumn Fayre on Saturday 8th October from 10am to 1pm. There will be lots of stalls, the chance to win some great prizes and the opportunity to have your photograph taken by a professional photographer at very reasonable rates. Please come and join us for a few hours of fun and fundraising.

Steps now has a Text Giving account to make it easier to donate to our fabulous charity. To use the service simply text STEP09 £xx (xx being the amount you wish to donate) to 70070. Car Wash!!
Hi Everyone,
On the 16th June our gym club members spent the afternoon washing cars to raise money for their planned residential trip with Stepping Out to The Calvert Trust in Devon next Easter. The grand total of £158.00 was raised! Luckily the sun shone and the afternoon was dry, unlike the gym club members who all went home a little soggy that day! Well done guys!
We would also like to thank the Rempstone Steam and Country Show for their donation of £500.00. The Friday group of children really enjoyed their visit with the tactor, Norton motorbike and Bentley amongst other vehicles which the children were able to sit on.
Parents please buy your barbeque tickets now for the 15th July as the end of term is fast approaching!!

Hi everyone
Steps would like to express their thanks to Edwalton Primary School for raising £400 from a non uniform day and cake sale in aid of Steps.
A band night was held on 26th March at Hinckley Golf Club where £1000 was raised from 'buckets' on the night and ticket sales have raised additional funds. The grand total raised will be confirmed shortly, but huge thanks to all invlolved with the organisation and attendance at this event. Special thanks to Stuart Purt, one of our Trustees and a Steps parent to George for arranging this event.
Another fundraising event held recently was the Mayor's Charity Showcase where various acts performed and auctions were held. This event raised well over £1000.
Huge thanks to all of these fundraising intitiatives, Steps very much appreciates the efforts of all involved.
Please note that Steps closes on Friday 15th April for the Easter holidays. However don't forget that we have our family activity days during the first week of the Easter holidays!

Residential
Hi Everyone,
Please have a look at the website as we are adding new things all the time. One of the features that has just been added is that we are really wanting to take the older gym club and Stepping Out young people away on a residential trip next Easter. We did this a few years ago and everyone had such a great time! Of course it all comes down to money and we are trying desperately to find innovative ways of fundraising for this massive event. We are looking at a total of around £16,000 in order to carry out this trip.
Please come along to our next Friends Of Steps meeting which will be held in the hall at 1.30p.m on March 2nd. We have this on the agenda to discuss at that time.
Steps breaks for the half term holidays on February 18th for one week. Lets hope that the sun shines!

New Term!
The new spring term is well underway and we have been really busy planning events for all of our families to enjoy.
On Saturday March 26th at Hinckley Golf Club we are having a band night with Principal Rogers & class A. The night is a tribute night with music from the 70's through to the 90's. Come along and have a great night out with your friends, all for the cost of £20.00. The price includes a complimentary drink and food. Tickets are available from Steps. So come along and dress up if you wish in your school uniform, or anything to do with that era and you are guaranteed a good night!
All proceeds will go to Steps and make a difference to the children's lives.

Christmas is just around the corner!
This half term started with a bang as the children all enjoyed some sparklers and fireworks in the sensory garden. Now we move on to preperations for Christmas and our end of term production on the 18th December. This year the title is Steps Twelve days of Christmas. All children will be in the production.
Many thanks to everyone who gave so generously in the Mayors Parade in Loughborough. As the Mayors charity of the year all proceeds from the day will be donated to Steps.
On Wednesday 10th November we have a trip out with the children to see the opening of the annual fair in Loughborough. The Mayor Jill Vincent will be opening it this year and Steps children will be offered free rides during the morning.
Steps have launched a new group called Friends Of Steps which is a group of parents who meet evry month to look at fundraising ideas.
Please keep the donations rolling in for Steps we now have nearly 40 children on our register and so need to support our families. There is a real need for our work to continue!
