Half Term News!

The children have been very busy this week making and trying out fruit salad as part of the topic on 'myself'. Everyone is looking forward to the half term holiday and hopefully some more sunshine.
Congratulations to Indila as she has passed her Early Years Professional status! Indila has worked really hard with this and as her award letter stated, Early Years Professionals are the key to raising the quality of early years provision.
The date for the end of term disco and barbeque has been changed to Saturday 17th July. The new times are 3.00p.m-6.00p.m. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on this date.

Thank You to Arthur!

Last Friday 14th May, out of the blue a gentleman called Arthur came to visit us. He explained that he had just had his 90th Birthday, and for his party he had asked for no presents but instead donations to Steps! So he presented us with a cheque for £100.00! He was delighted to be shown round our facilities and meet the children. Thank you so much Arthur!

Mountain climb in aid of Steps

Good luck to the Sabat family who are climbing Ben Nevis in aid of Steps on the 5th June! Sponsor forms are at Steps for you to fill in. We really wish them luck and hope that the sun shines for them.

Many thanks also to the Emmanuel Church in Loughborough for their kind donation after their talk on Steps and the work we do.

The children have been talking about emotions this week and the highlight of the week was icing biscuits and putting faces on them. The children really enjoyed eating smiley face biscuits afterwards!

Pizzas on the menu

The children have really enjoyed making pizzas this week and have been out in the sensory garden and the playground as part of our theme on our senses.

We have had a visit from Andy Reed MP for North West Leicestershire and a big thank you to Caterpillar for giving us a donation of £2,000!
